The reinstatement project is our gift to the future generations of Canterbury. Its completion will be a symbolic moment for the rebirth of Christchurch.

Our Cathedral is more than a building it is a sacred, spiritual place, a sanctuary for all where we can gather. It is a taonga and home of taonga. It is a nationally recognised heritage building.

Our generation has an extraordinarily rare opportunity to return the Cathedral to its place as the heart and soul of our city for us and our children after us. The journey will be one of reconciliation. A peace keeping mission that will yield a homecoming like no other.

We will need your hands and the hands of many to raise the roof of our beloved Cathedral. Our formal Fundraising Campaign will be launched in 2020 after designs and costs are finalised and we look forward to sharing these with you.
