Work Notice – June 2020
What
This month we will be pruning some of the northern facing limbs on the large tree to the south of the Cathedral, London Plane T4 (Tree ID3275/DP T54). The tree is being pruned to allow access for a crane boom manoeuvre to lift the steel support structure onto the south side of the Cathedral.
This work is being directed by a qualified arborist in conjunction with advice from Christchurch City Council’s Head Arborist and undertaken in accordance with the conditions of consent; RMA 2019/1222 Comprehensive ongoing Maintenance and Management of Significant Trees and the removal of a non-listed tree in a Heritage Setting.
Impacts
The works are scheduled for 22 & 23 June 2020. There may be low level noise from trucks and machinery during the day.
